Message e.g. overcome inertia, but at the weight differences we're realistically talking about, not much of an energy difference to maintain or keep the rotational mass turning. In fact, wouldn't the heavier flywheel have greater kinetic energy at equal RPM's compared to a lighter flywheel? I'm still not convinced, no matter how many periods you use.
